Research On The Construction Of Comprehensive Practice Base Of Geography Extracurricular High School

Geography is a very practical subject, which is comprehensive and regional. In the teaching process of middle school, much geography knowledge is quite abstract. Students need the help of a practical process to understand the related concepts and theories. Basic education in the new century has clearly put forward requirement of quality education, which require the students to master knowledge、develop abilities、improve emotional attitude and values in the practical activeties. The selection and construction of extracurricular comprehensive geography practice base in high school can meet the demand of the hands-on instruction in high school geography. The extracurricular comprehensive geography practice bases of high school are missing in most area of our country. Most high schools in Zhenjiang have geography practical curriculum, but these courses still remain the traditional classroom settings, they haven’t mixed with the practice, which is due to the lack of practice base. Then the value of practical activity curriculum can’t be reflected.On the requirement of geography practice curriculum of high school and national personnel training,this paper analyses the construction contents and the existing problems of some geography comprehensive practice bases in Jiangsu province as reference object after defining the related concepts and combing the main theories. These practice bases have been built and the analysis can prepare for the selection or construction on the high school geography practice bases in Zhenjiang area.Geography comprehensive practice base in high school must meet the comprehensive characteristic of geography, and must include many elements both in physical geography and in human geography. Activities in the practice base can not only meet the teaching requirements,but also accord with the characteristics of high school students’ physical and mental development.Practice base can use the social resources maximum and leave a subsequent extensive development space. According to the target of selection and construction raised above, this paper put forward a basic idea of selection and construction on high school geography practice base. Combining the objective resources in Zhenjiang, it specifically analyzes the methods on construction for inside-school practice base, it also analyzes the principles on selection and the content for outside-school practice base. The paper mainly studies the practice activities in every practice base,which can be participated for students. Aiming at the possible problems occurring in the process of selection and construction, this paper puts forward relevant solving measures. An the end of this article, it make Gaoli Mountain and Changshan agricultural demonstration areas as the cases of comprehensive practical activities on physical geography and human geography, it specifical analyses that how the students participate in activities in the practice base,Through the research, we can find that it is necessary to construct the comprehensive geography practice base in high school. The influence on the students’ physical and psychological development is also quite far-reaching. But the method on constructing practice base is not as simple as imagined. It need to do a great deal of preparatory work.Tracking and perfecting the additional work is also complex. Therefore, it need the whole society join the construction, giving advice and suggestions for the development of local education.
