| At the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,it was proposed that "establishing morality and cultivating people should be the fundamental task of education".Comprehensive practical education is an important way to achieve the task of establishing morality and cultivating people,and is of great significance for the cultivation of comprehensive literacy of primary and secondary school students through the integration of moral,intellectual,physical,aesthetic,and labor education.Rock climbing,originated from mountaineering,is a new type of sports that exercises participants’ physical strength,skills,thinking,and courage.With the successful inclusion of rock climbing in the Olympic Games,it has also gained rapid development in recent years,and is deeply loved by the majority of people.It has a positive role in cultivating the physical and mental health of students.Introducing rock climbing courses into comprehensive practice bases is one of the practical ways to achieve the fundamental task of establishing morality and cultivating people.Therefore,studying the development of rock climbing courses in comprehensive practice bases is of great significance for promoting the development of China’s rock climbing industry and improving the quality of education.This study takes the development of rock climbing courses in demonstration comprehensive practice bases as the research entry point.Through questionnaire surveys,expert interviews,and field research,it conducts research on demonstration practice bases that carry out rock climbing courses nationwide.It conducts research on the objectives of rock climbing courses,course venues,facilities,teaching staff,lesson plan design,course implementation,and the status quo of safety pre evaluation,and analyzes the problems existing in the implementation of rock climbing courses,Explore the countermeasures for developing rock climbing courses in the base,and provide targeted solutions.During the study,through investigation and analysis of the current situation,the following conclusions were drawn: First,the prevalence of rock climbing courses in demonstration comprehensive practice bases is still low,and currently there are only 56 demonstration comprehensive practice bases nationwide that offer rock climbing courses,accounting for37% of the total;Secondly,there is a general lack of innovation and novelty in the teaching design of rock climbing courses,with a single teaching form and fixed teaching content,which can easily cause teachers’ teaching fatigue and reduce students’ interest in experience;The third is that the role of rock climbing teachers tends to develop into a "combination of teaching and doing".Rock climbing teachers are both guides and learners in the teaching process;Fourth,rock climbing courses currently lack a set of standards and sound management norms,leading to significant differences in the form,duration,and content of teaching in different regions.Suggestions: First,the curriculum design should be applicable,fully considering the operability of the characteristics of students at different stages of study;The second is to have a forward-looking talent pool,ensuring the strength of teachers by building a talent echelon of professional teachers and increasing the introduction channels of rock climbing teachers;Third,safety control should be targeted,adhere to the principle of "safety first,education first",and ensure that any link does not touch the safety bottom line;Fourth,the curriculum guidance should be educational,and ultimately,the rock climbing curriculum should return to the fundamental task of "cultivating morality and cultivating people",and achieve the physical and mental health goals of students through rock climbing courses. |
