The learning transference of geography means the interaction between two learning situations in geography, including the transfer of knowledge, skills, methods and emotions. The teaching strategy of "Teaching for transfer" is becoming the theoretic basis for the current education since one important target of teaching is to train student how to apply what they have learned to new knowledge and the daily life. Moreover, with the development of curriculum innovation, the main focus of the teaching is to training students’ learning skills, instead of simply imparting knowledge to them. Hence, to develop students’ learning transference skill become an important part of teaching. Therefore, the study of high school students’ migration is necessary, provide further guidance for the teacher’s teaching, but also allow students to apply their knowledge better. I hope that through this study, to understand the status of high school students in geography learning transfer and its influencing factors, and propose a workable strategy based on the analysis results of current situation and the influencing factors combined with the author’s own observation of teaching and students. In this study, we make a survey based on the theory and important factors of learning transference. The targets are students of 6 classes in No.3 middle school of Chenzhou, Gread 2, with 3 from science major and 3 from art major. We then evaluate students’over all skills of learning transference and related factors based on the statistical data. The following conclusions:1. Analysis the overall evaluation from student’s learning transfer abilities, with knowledge, skill, method and emotion, the conclusion is as follows:(l)The learning transference ability of geography knowledge is general. Students can apply their knowledge to the new field, but takes a certain time.(2) The learning transference ability of geography skill is average. About half students can apply their geography skill to the new field, the other half students is not paid enough attention to the skill training, and Lack of interest in practice.(3) The learning transference ability of geography method is weak. Only about half students can use their Geography method to help their study and in their life, and method cannot be achieve mastery through.(4) The learning transference of Geography attitude is insufficient. Most students lack the sentimental experience for guiding their attitude, and hadn’t expressed their attitude by action, when they are studying geography.2. Analysis from the related factors, such as interests, the mention, knowledge structure and mindset. We also compare the performances of students from difference major to analysis the issues accrued in the learning transference of geography. The following conclusions:(1)Students don’t show enough interest in geography, less than 40% students feel interest about geography. Except the need of cognition, the motivation of studying Geography is mostly from the stress of college entrance examination.(2) Students’awareness of application is weak, when studying geography. Geography is a very comprehensive subject, which can apply to the different subject, but students seldom aware it and use their geography ability.(3) Students’cognition level and structure ability is not very good. Only a few students can optimize their cognitive structure ability, and their cognitive structure level is low. It mainly caused by two aspects, students themselves and their teacher.(4) Lots of students are influenced by their bad pattern of learning. The pattern of learning is very useful in solving similar issue, but in the meantime, it also easy to make students confused. The teaching strategies that can promote high school geography knowledge transference ability we made based on the survey.1.The teaching strategy for promote high school geography knowledge transference ability.(1)Estimate reasonable the original cognitive structure level for student.(2) Put to use the advance organizer strategy.(3) Selecte teaching materials to pay attention to basic knowledge and principle.(4) Arrange the teaching content reasonable.(5) Clear up the bad mindset.(6) Promote the transference among subjects.2.The teaching strategy for promote high school geography skill transference ability.(l)Adjustment the mentation to increasing students’motivation of study.(2) Pay attention to the map and 3S technology.3.The teaching strategy for promote high school geography method and emotion transference ability.(1) Set up the teacher and studentes’relationship well.(2) Put up the task reasonable to strengthen transference consciousness.(3) Enrich the instructional mode. The innovation of this study is to give an overall assessment in four areas of knowledge, skills, methods, and emotional attitude of the study of geography learning object migration firstly, analyze the problems of the main factors affecting the geographical transfer of learning ability compared with the arts and science students secondly, put forward strategies to promote teaching finally, which based the previous research.Deficiencies of this study is due to the limitations of the study scope, and factors to consider not comprehensive, there may not cause problems exhumed in terms of learning transfer. The investigation for teaching strategy are limited, there is not involve how to avoid negative transfer and correct after it appear. Due to lack of experience in teaching, some ideas and strategies of this research have not been further verified.
