As a kind of habit, study habit is an automated learning behavior that formed through repeated practice and gradually developing into an individual need in the process of learning. Good geography study habit, which is beneficial to stimulate learning enthusiasm and initiative students in geography class, not only contribute to the formation of learning strategies, improve the quality and efficiency of geography learning, but also cultivate individual’s ability in autonomous learning, make the students own lifelong benefit.This paper refer to a large number of domestic and foreign related research about learning habits and art students in high school, combining the theory of psychology, pedagogy, and behavioral science, at the same time, understanding the current situation of the geography study habit about art students in high school in the form of questionnaires and interviews, then analysis the received data systematically and effectively, and in view of the existing problems, putting forward to feasible countermeasure and the suggestion to cultivate good geography study habit about art students in high school.The content in this paper is divided into five aspects:the first part expound the research background, significance of this topic, progress at home and abroad, research methods and route. The second part define the related concepts, expound the theory that related to this paper, and analyze the psychological characteristics, behavior characteristics and learning characteristics about art students in high school. The third part, carrying on the questionnaire survey to students and interviewing teachers, and understanding the current situation of the geography study habit about art students in high school. The fourth part, in view of the problems existed during the research, putting forward to feasible countermeasure and the suggestions. The fifth part, summarizing this paper and pointing out the shortages of the study.These results in this paper are as follows:First:geography study habit about art students in a high school located in Shenzhen is relatively poor.Second:There are some problems in geography study habit of art students in high school. Rather than prepare lessons before class and review, take notes and think carefully, the habit of reading the diagram in figure, understanding the application and using reference books is poorer.Third:different groups of art students in high school have different geography study habit. The students with high scores in geography learning are better than students with poor grades, girls’ geography study habits are better than boys, art students in high grade are better than that of low classes, geography study habit for students majoring in painting is superior to other students.Fourth:Based on the above research, this paper puts forward the following four methods to cultivate good geography study habit about art students in high school.(1)Arouse the seeking knowledge desire of art students. First of all, using professional competence, arouse interest in learning, second, let the students understand geography correctly and correct learning attitude, once again, inspire students frequently, eliminate their feel of fearing learning.(2)Parents should assume the responsibility of education. First of all, change their backward ideas, second, set a good example for their children, once more, and strengthen the help between family and school.(3) The teacher should pay attention to guide students correctly. First, strengthen the supervision and guidance to the students, cultivate geography pre-course habit, second, using flexible and varied teaching methods, cultivate learning habit in geography class, once again, guide students frequently, and cultivate geography learning habit after class.(4) Students themselves should pay attention to form a habit by themselves. First of all, respect the rule in the formation of habit, pay attention to methods, second, and strengthen training in the process of habit formation.The innovation of this paper lies in:first, the research object is unique, for the art students in high school. Second, take the form of evaluation and quantification to evaluate in the process of investigation and research, so that it can be analyzed by statistical software. Third, make detailed evaluation to the different aspects of the geography study habits and different groups of the art students in high school, have a comprehensive and appropriate analysis.
