Classroom management is a way of teachers by creating a harmonious classroom e nvironment, designing science classroom routines and teaching methods, to guide the st udents to participate effectively teaching activities.For the junior middle school geograp hy, a good and effective classroom management is the cornerstone of carrying out clas sroom activities smoothly, therefore, the role of classroom management has been focus on gradually.In the concept of the new curriculum reform to promote, geography teacher’s task i s to lead the students to learn to live, guiding students to establish the correct geogra phical concept and the concept of the sustainable development, taking shape the go od of humanistic spirit and aesthetic taste. However, now there are many problems of geography classroom management in junior high school, such as focusing on teaching, ignoring participation; focusing on knowledge, ignoring ability; focusing on mate rials, ignoring resources; focusing on individual, ignoring cooperation and so on. The se phenomenons affect the overall development of students and construct the students’a bility by the geography curriculum. Therefore, the geography teachers need use a scie ntific and new idea of classroom management under of the background of new curri culum, in order to promote the students’ lifelong learning on the development of usefu 1 geography.Through teaching practice and accessing to a large number of literatures, we revie w the research status of junior high school geography effective teaching management a t home and abroad. And we understand the related concepts of classroom managemen t, clear objectives, principles and methods for the effective management of junior high s chool geography classroom, select the appropriate research methods; and to the junior h igh school geography teachers and students in the three different cities as the research o bject. We mainly uses the literature research method, questionnaire method, intervie w method, observation of teachers and students in experimental research method, resear ch method.Though the construction of humanism, rationalism and the teaching proces s optimization theory. We analyzes the existing problems of junior high school geograp hy classroom and influence factors of geography classroom management. And we discus s the effective strategies of geography classroom management from the classroom envir onment, classroom order, the design of classroom teaching and students’ self manageme nt four aspects.This paper conducted a comprehensive and systematic research and analysis of th e junior middle school geography classroom management, draws the following conclusi on:1, to create a harmonious classroom environment is the basis of effective classroo m management in junior high school geography.Geographyteachers not only to create su itable classroom physical environment, but also to build good atmosphere in the classro om.2, Geography teachers need to combine the characteristics of physical and mental d evelopment of junior high school students to establish reasonable classroom routine, an d effectively maintain the classroom routine, reduce the conduct and discipline of stude nts.3, Geography teachers should be a full range of educational resources, effective ma nagement and classroom time, all aspects of the design of classroom teaching, to creat e unit, tension, serious, lively atmosphere in the classroom.4, Geography teachers to develop students’ self-management consciousness in the p rocess of communication with students, develop students’ sense of responsibility, and ult imately enable students from "heteronomy" to "self discipline".
