Electronic schoolbag develops vigorously in the countries all over the world. Many countries and regions have a pilot on electronic schoolbag to use in the education.Governments, enterprises and educational institutions participate in the pilot and lead the wave of educational reform.Electronic schoolbag is a mobile terminal that instals interactive system between teachers and students,installs various kinds of learning software and can be connected to the Internet. It assists the teachers and students implement the functions of classroom instruction out-of-class autonomous learning and extracurricular collaborative learning. The geography curriculum standards in Junior high school have are quirement to implement the inquiry-based instruction in the classroom and to regulates the level of inquiry. So the implementation of inquiry activity in the classroom is necessary. The mode of inquiry-based instruction is designed to give play to the subjective initiative of teachers and students to achieve good instructional effect. The mode of inquiry-based instruction is designed and implemented under the guidance of constructivism.Its implementation process is that:First of all, the teachers creat the learning situation by the use of multimedia and entity. Second, the teachers and students put forward theme to inquiry according to the situation Third, students individual or group chooses the theme to explore autonomously, design the inquiry program, Collect and process all kinds of information resources,and acqure the conclusion. The mode of inquiry-based instruction accords with the the geography curriculum standards in Junior high school:Learning the geography that is useful for life; Learning the geography that is useful for lifelong development; Constructing open geography course. The introduction of electronic schoolbag brings new forms of interaction between teachers and students and platform to support rich learning resource platform for geography inquiry instruction in junior high school. and will bring new changes to the geography inquiry activities in junior high school. This research will construct the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction for the junior high school and explore its application effect.This research relys on the national education scientific planning five-year key subject "learning-oriented innovative electronic schoolbag of primary and secondary schools teaching application research,of shaanxi normal university liren digital institute. First of all,Aiming at the problems existing in the implementation of the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction and in the the first year’s pilot in geography. On the basis of analysing the causes of the problem, the request geography curriculum standard, the learner’s characteristics, and the function of electronic schoolbag. Combined with related theory the author construct the the mode of inquiry-based junior high school geography instruction on the basis of electronic schoolbag. On this basis the author proposes Suggestions to perfect the teaching mode.This paper consists of seven chapters:Chapter one:introduction. This chapter analyses the research background of this study, the research status of the electronic schoolbag and the inquiry-based geography instruction,and put forward the research questions, research significance of this study.Chapter two:the theoretical basis for research. This chapter elaborates the core concepts and the theoretical basis the research involves. This chapter mainly introduces the two core concepts of electronic schoolbag and inquiry-based instruction pattern and the theory of constructivism learning theory, bloom teaching target classification, self-efficacy theory and the theory of achievement motivation.Chapter three:research design. This chapter introduces the research target, research contents, research methods and research thoughts, elaborates this research tools used in the studyChapter four:the constructing and implementing of the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction based on the electronic schoolbag. This chapter mainly analyses the learner characteristics, the function of electronic schoolbag, curriculum standard and teaching material. (And we construct and implement of the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction based on the electronic schoolbag)Chapter five:Results analysis of the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction based on the electronic schoolbag. This chapter analyses the effect of mode by the way of iFIAS analysis, questionnaires, teacher interviews, grade of students geography and geography learning motivation questionnaire analysis.Chapter six:conclusion.This chapter summarizes the results of the mode of inquiry-based geography instruction based on the electronic schoolbag and improves the suggestions to perfect the mode.Chapter seven:the innovation and prospects.This chapter summarizes the innovation,lack and prospects of this study.
