Learning case is put forward along with the new curriculum reform. Learning in learning case teaching mode advocates promoting students’ autonomous learning with the learning case as the carrier. It is widely used by front-line teachers, because it conforms to the new teaching point that "teaching as the leading, learning as the main body ".But there is always a gap between ideal and reality, a lot of problems, controversy and confusion are produced in the process of popularization. This study tries to explore the comprehensive theory of learning case through the literature research, to find the problems existing in the design and use of the learning case from the experience of front-line teachers, and explore the solutions combined with the actual situation and literature research. This study puts forward the design projects and the right use of the review learning case with the "carbon and compounds of carbon review learning case" as an example. The study did a teaching experiment in two parallel classes in the third grade. The experiment research shows that learning case can improve students’learning efficiency, and promote the students to construct the network knowledge. I hope that my study can provide a teaching reference for front-line teachers using the learning case to review.This research is mainly divided into six parts. The first part is introduction, including the origin, purpose, significance of the research, the content and methods of the research, and the research status at home and abroad. The second part mainly discusses the theory system of the learning case. Including the theory basis, connotation, function, task and the principle should follow in the learning case. The task of case is to offer students the complete and reasonable learning case. Through the case to make students understand the learning content and learning steps; Case has the functions of responsing new curriculum reform ideas, improving students’way of study, promoting teachers’ professional development, at the same time, the case can also add students’learning materials, raise the test scores, it has other auxiliary functions. The establishment of case should follow the subjectively, instructively, exploratory, relevancy and other basic principles. The third part mainly discusses the problems existing in the design and use of the learning case and the solution of the problem through literature analysis and questionnaire survey. There are several problems existing in the leaning case. For examples, it lacks definite and efficient theoretical basis, scientific design projects, who designs the case isn’t fixed, and case increases teachers’ load, the case didn’t display the guiding function in using. The fourth part mainly writes the design projects of the review learning case. The case has several design projects, curriculum criterion reading, learning goals, examination points analysis, learning methods guiding, lesson prepare, knowledge network construction, question design, chemical example analysis, check in class, and variant praxis. The fifth part is mainly about the application research of the "carbon and compounds of carbon review learning case", including the correct use of the case, research process and the results of the study data analysis. I have made the significant difference test of unit testing average data score between the experimental class and control class, it displayed there’s significant discrepancy between the two classes. This concluded that case could improve learning efficiency. Through the analysis of the concept map made by students, I have concluded that review learning case could promote students’construction of knowledge network. The sixth part is the conclusions, achievements and reflection of this study.
