The development of national culture curriculum is based on the multicultural education advocated by the West in the twentieth century. The Western research can guide addressing cultural issues between our nation. Therefore, combining the actual situation that multi-ethnic cultures coexist in China, this study attempts to explore a new way to develop the national cultural education. Considering the present situation of national culture of each region, the localization application of the theory and practice from foreign national cultural courses contributes a lot to the diverse development of ethnic cultural education. Therefore, there is a very important theoretical and practical significance to develop the national culture curriculum in minority areas and build a scientifically system of curriculum’s studies, which reflects the concept that the national culture can understand the symbiosis in education.The objective of this paper is to propose a complete development strategy of developing national cultural curriculum. In the process of researching, consulting a large number of theories related to the course of national culture, with the help of the literature review, observation, questionnaires, interviews and other survey methods, and through investigating and analyzing the current condition of the development of national cultural curriculum in Yunnan’s universities, I found out the problems about education. Through collecting and collating the data of the social distance among college students, I realized the social distance existing among different nations. So that I can specifically build a theoretical framework of developing the national cultural curriculum, not only developing the national cultural curriculum, but also shortening the distance among ethics and promoting respect and understanding. In this paper, I showed some constructive opinions and references for the reform and development of ethnic cultural courses in universities.The study is divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction. It introduces the significance and reasons for choosing this topic, and defined the concept of social distance, national culture and national culture curriculum development. On domestic and foreign multicultural curriculum the main emphasis on country or between and urban and rural community members of different cultural groups symbiotic caused by the social distance and cultural issues studies were reviewed, it will migrate to the concept of social distance Students Minority course usage research. Finally this will propose method implemented national culture curriculum studies.The second part is the national culture curriculum development status. This section summaries the characteristics of the national culture in Yunnan and the investigate Yunnan Normal University teachers and students to obtain a comprehensive analysis of the status which made national culture curriculum development among reality.The third part is the social distance investigation. Students conduct research on social distance, based findings obtained by the prevalence of social distance between the Students’ National conclusions provide a scientific basis for the study, but also constitute a theoretical basis of the thesis.The fourth part is the national cultural courses idea. It is the focus of the study. This paper proposed to increase respect and understanding between the various ethnic groups, so that students’ knowledge, feelings and values of the nation and soul of the concept can be improved. This establishes general and specific objectives of the curriculum development in national culture and summaries national culture symbiosis equality, pluralistic integration, innovation and understanding of the characteristics of the times. It opens a type of national culture curriculum development model, building awareness, activities, practices and hidden curriculum combines ethnic and cultural curriculum. We aimed to establish a national knowledge, national language, national psychology and national life of national curriculum development specific content. Make sure multi-evaluation of the main emphasis on the evaluation. The usage of both content and development of appropriate evaluation tools, and ultimately make a complete idea about the ethnic and cultural curriculum development.The fifth part is conclusion and outlook. The article was reviewed and summarized. College students require widespread social distance national culture curriculum development imperative. Development of national culture and the need to improve the standardization of curriculum development strategy, research and surveys in the development of national culture during the course of the depth and breadth and range of options should be developed in the future should be more attention to the problem.
