The Application Of Positive Psychology In The Education Of College Students' Outlook On Life

The education of outlook on life for college students is one of the important parts of the education of university thoughts and politics work. The education of outlook on life has been a main part of university thoughts and politics work since post-90 s students entered into universities. Post-90 s college students live in a time with rapid developments and reforms of economic globalization, domestic social situations, politics and economy. They also live in an age with abundant materials and rapidly changing information. Besides, diversified value tendency and post-modern deconstructionism have great influence on post-90 s college students for their outlooks on life. On this background, the starting point and purpose of this paper is to study how to guide post-90 s college students to combine their pursuits for subject consciousness and individual values with their responsibilities for collective interests, national interests and social development.This paper studies the current modes of education of outlook on life for college students and finds some characteristics of college students. For attitudes, they reject perfusion-style education mode. For contents, they prefer diversified and individual needs. For approaches, they are more likely to take part in activities personally such as join community activities. After the analysis of these findings, this paper concludes that post-90 s students tend to pursue individuality, independence and happiness.Positive psychology is a branch of psychology which responds to people ’s pursuits for life happiness. This paper tries to combine the five theories of psychology with the education of outlook on life for college students. Besides, this paper fully demonstrates the concern and humanistic care of positive psychology to the happiness of individual and the public. Moreover, positive psychology also gives some responses to post-90 s students.This paper clarifies the significant meaning of positive psychology in the education of outlook on life for college students from the perspective of theory and practice.
