College years are the key period to one’s outlook on life and formation of values.However, college students likely pay more attention to the study of social skills and subject knowledge. Improvement of personal moral and cultivation of personality are probably been ignored. If students cannot learn to understand the value of life, to cherish life, and to respect life from college education, the loss of higher education will be irreparable.In this paper, literature research is used to analyzed research status, background,and main opinions of life education and positive psychology, which are the theoretical basis of application. Comparison method is utilized to find advantages and disadvantages, valuable views and methods of life education and positive psychology.This paper is divided into five parts:Firstly, the significance of life education is introduced. Research status of life education and positive psychology at home and abroad is generalized. On this basis,the proposed research aims and research methods are put forward. In the second part of the paper, theories of life education and positive psychology are expounded.Thirdly, through the questionnaire of 486 college students from four colleges, the current life education status of college students is studied, and this analysis can be a reference to application. The fourth part mainly discusses the feasibility of application of positive psychology to college students’ life education, primarily discussing the advantages of positive psychology, feasibility and aims. In the fifth part, methods of application are provided.
