| High school is a very important teaching process in geography education. Not only it makes the students are exposed to the basics of geography, but also offers the possibility to participate in the geography scientifically learning. Therefore, to improve students’ cognitive level geography in high school is the end result of education. Concept of space is very important for Geographic Education polymerization of an abstract thinking, with the construction of knowledge required of students to form this concept through teacher’s careful guidance. Geography is a very complex discipline. So it makes students feel difficult when they want to learn. Inquiry-based teaching as a highly efficient mode of teaching, it can improves students learning, but also allow them to form divergent learning ability. The formation of the concept of space needs different teaching and traditional teaching methods, and inquiry-based teaching can provide efficient teaching mode, so the combination of both, can have a positive impact in high school geography teaching activities.Based on the concept of space and systematic inquiry teaching theoretical analysis, combine two parts of knowledge together, then after teaching practice activities carried out experiments to verify the feasibility of this teaching mode. In this paper, in order to issue inquiry, institutional inquiry, case inquiry and interactive inquiry-based teaching model to represent the four, showing the specific teaching process during the experiment, and through the practice of teaching, to find the most appropriate classroom teaching mode. Through research, it shows that the concept of space exploration teaching mode can have a positive impact in three major aspects of students interested in self-evaluation, innovation and learning. In the process of teaching experiment, revealed a series of problems that exist in the teaching process. The need for continuous exploration in future teaching activities, we need to dedicated students’ concept of space and establish efficient teaching mode. |
