The concept of geography is the basic element that constitutes the geographical knowledge system.Concept teaching plays a fundamental and crucial role in the cultivation of the core literacy of students 'geography.The 5E teaching model under the guidance of constructivism is just to help teachers better go.To promote students' conceptual understanding,this study applies the 5E exploratory teaching model to high school geography concept teaching in order to provide more methodological basis and reference to the first-line teachers for geography concept teaching,as well as more practical suggestions.The author refers to a large number of domestic relevant literature,combs the high school geography concept system,screens and determines the core high school geography concepts applicable to the model;explains the basic process of its three stages and five links,and elaborated on the specific operation form of its five links-"Engage,Explore,Explaine,Elaborate,Evaluate",and evaluation trace the theoretical basis of the model,and provide a theoretical basis for the necessity and feasibility of the 5E inquiry teaching model in high school geography concept teaching.After that,the author learned about the application status of the 5E inquiry teaching model in high school geography teaching through questionnaire surveys and interviews with teachers,analyzed and predicted the possible problems in the application process,and aimed at the survey results and problems forecasting provides firstline teachers with specific coping strategies and principles to be followed when implementing this model.Based on the 5E exploratory teaching model,the high school geography concept teaching design was conducted,and in the empirical application,a comparative experiment on "teaching effects of different teaching modes" was conducted.The influence of the 5Ebased inquiry teaching model on the teaching effect of high school geography concept teaching,the influence on students' concept acquisition,concept maintenance and concept application were mainly tested through the pre-post test.Through comparative experiments and statistical analysis,it is found that the 5E inquiry teaching model for principles and strategies is more advantageous than the traditional teaching model in the actual geographic concept teaching application.
