Cultivating the continuity of geography ability and knowledge of middle school students is the requirement of geography teaching in the new college entrance examination.At present,the junior high school geography teaching in our country is relatively independent,the teaching content is not smooth,and it can not meet the requirements of the new college entrance examination reform.The core concept of geography is a concept that occupies the center of geography subject,has strong unified and extensive explanatory power,and is the node that constitutes the knowledge system of geography subject.In this paper,the author analyzes the problems and difficulties of geography teaching cohesion in Changsha City by questionnaire survey of some teachers and students,and understands the teachers and students' mastery and understanding of geography core concepts.In addition,the fourth chapter of the seventh grade and the third chapter and the second section of the selective compulsory course are selected to show the teaching convergence cases.The study found that:(1)The geography teaching in junior high school has the phenomenon of great difficulty and low cohesion.The teaching cohesion consciousness of junior high school geography teachers is not strong.Most geography teachers have low attention to the curriculum standard,teaching material content and students' learning situation of non-permanent teaching section.Only 20% of teachers will attend non-permanent teaching section schools.(2)The content organization of geography teaching material in junior high school should integrate the knowledge of teaching material with the core concept of geography,connect the content of teaching material in series,and play the role of consistency of teaching material.If the same geographical phenomena and facts are presented,it is necessary to realize the transition of knowledge and method through advanced geography core concept.(3)Geography teachers need to attach great importance to students' learning of the core concepts of geography,grasp the learning situation,take the in-depth exploration of the core concepts of geography as the method of daily classroom learning and problem-solving,comb the framework of geographical knowledge,and establish the integration of knowledge under the big idea.Set an advanced starting point.(4)Geography teachers need to thoroughly study the geography curriculum standards and teaching materials of non-permanent teaching sections,as well as the presentation of important geography core concepts,master the teaching materials and learning situations of different students,and select appropriate means of convergence to integrate the geography core concepts to determine the advanced end points.
