Modern novels are an important part of high school Chinese reading teaching, the teaching of fundamental purpose is to develop students’ reading ability, imagination and creative ability, improve the students’ Chinese accomplishment, causes the student to have stronger language application ability, aesthetic ability and inquiry ability, make students form good ideology and moral qualities, scientific and cultural quality, for the students to lifelong learning and personal development to lay the good foundation.Since the new curriculum reform, the teachers in the modern novel reading teaching continuously the pursuit of knowledge and skills, process and methods, emotional attitude values of the three aspects of organic integration, and received the certain result, but some problems still exist in the process.In this study the method of questionnaire survey as the main research methods, mainly explore under the new standard of the problems existing in the Chinese modern novel reading teaching for senior middle school, the reason of these problems and the solutions to these problems, in order to offer high school Chinese modern novel reading teaching Suggestions.
