Since we propose quality education in our country in 1980 s, our education administration department has done a lot of reformations including the course and difficulty, teaching style mode, enrollment system,etc. Achieve the goal of quality education successfully. However, the academic evaluation of the students in always is one of the most important problems which restricts the quality education. Especially in primary school stage, it is of great import significance to the basic educational reformation, the improvement of the teaching quality and the comprehensive development of the students, whether we can effectively carry out the student academic evaluation or not. This thesis mainly study the math academic evaluation under the background of quality education. Thus, we research the math academic evaluation of Shanghai HS primary school, analyze the advantages and disadvantages, reveal the reason and hoping to be helpful for the front line educators and the policy makers in the aspect of students’ elementary school math academic evaiuation.There are altogether five chapters. In the first chapter, we mainly introduce the study background and the domestic and foreign history and present situation of the academic evaluation and the ideas and methods which are used during the study.The second chapter is the basic theory study. One is the relative concepts of the academic evaluation, academic, evaluation and academic evaluation included. Second is the description of the present situations and the challenge for academic evaluation of primary school students in Shanghai.In the third chapter, we describe the math academic evaluation system of the students in Shanghai HS primary school form the evaluation policy, staff function and mechanism the evaluation system to reflect the academic evaluation situation nowadays.The fourth chapter is the practice study. Firstly, we introduce the design and implementation of the interview method and questionnaire method, including the design of the interview outlines and the choice of interview objects, the design of the questionnaire and the choice of its objects. Secondly, we deeply analyze the research results, including the interviews to the front line math teachers to understand the problems it exist in the current math academic evaluation, the statistical analysis the questionnaire, and quantitative description of the main problems in the math academicevaluation to provide the empirical basis for analysis the causes.The fifth chapter is the research summary and the prospect. Through this research work, I understand only under the cooperation of the school, the teachers, the students and the parents even the society, we could make the math academic evaluation of the students a bit more objective and fair. I really hope I could do more work on it to explore and create a high reliability evaluation system combining with the quantitative evaluation and the qualitative evaluation.
