In this paper, the significance of career education which is taught in Ideological and moral course in junior high school, the main content about career education in this course and the methods for career education in this course are discussed.This paper argues that career education in this course can guide students to a correct view of academic and professional, help students get a better understanding of self and society, guide students initially clear self direction and cultivate students’ basic skills in social life.About the content which is suitable for career education in this course,this paper discusses it around the “career cognition”, “career exploration”, “career orientation” and “career preparation”.This is also a major innovation of this paper.About the methods, this paper chooses the case teaching method, vocational assessment method, scenario simulation method and practice experience method to help students better accept career education and provide the impetus for their future growth and success.
