With the continually outstanding achievement performed by Chinese students in PISA test and Olympic Competition, we began to have a deep discussion of Chinese mathematics education, where the lack of creativity and other disadvantages have been increasingly apparent. With the deepening reform of fundamental curriculum in our country, we also noticed that the pivotal aim of mathematics education is not only to cultivate student knowledge and skills, but also mathematical literacy and mathematical ability. It also means that in the current mathematics education, teachers should attach importance to guiding students to learn mathematics thinking as well as basic knowledge of mathematics.Mathematical thinking is the soul and essence of mathematics, it enables students to understand the true meaning and the value of mathematics, and it can illuminate their thinking, making them understand how to solve problems with math, and improve their math cultural literacy. Grasping math thinking method is perpetual, different from short memory of math knowledge, and it can benefit students for lifetime.Although some teachers have understood the importance of mathematical thinking at this stage,they are greatly impacted by traditional double-base view,there are still disadvantages of focusing on knowledge and solving problems and looking down upon methods in middle school teaching, which is constant with the results of the questionnaire. As a consequence, students cannot understand and acquire math knowledge and mathematical thinking contained. In present study, based on the theory of middle school mathematics education and practice, this paper was conducted focusing on how teachers use teaching methods in mathematical teaching effectively.The present work focuses on exploring six of mathematical thinking teaching principles based on summary and conclusion of previous research, illustrating several important and frequently used math thoughts and methods, such as symbol thoughts,model thoughts, transformation thoughts, function and equation thoughts, and combination of numbers and shape thougthts.These important principles are permeability principle, gradual and orderly progress principle, repeated principle,systematic principle, constructive principle, clarity principle. At the same time threeways are proposed to effectively implement math thoughts and methods according to six teaching principles mentioned above. More attention should be paid to the daily process of teaching of mathematical thinking; classic examples can be used to consolidate and understand mathematical thinking deeply; appropriate summary of mathematical thinking should be extracted in the review process. Finally, this paper analyzes math thoughts and methods cases in the Senior Entrance Exam and College Entrance Exam.With teaching pratice,this paper gives three teaching designs about mathematical thinking applied in teaching and simply summarizes the education value of math thoughts in middle school education stage,in order to provide reference suggestions for Middle School Mathematics Teaching.
