Literacy teaching is the foundational work in primary school language teaching,and it is the prerequisite for reading and writing,also,laying the groundwork for other subject teaching. Philology is a discipline which takes the Chinese character as the object of study,it is an important evidence for teacher’s Literacy teaching. Therefore,the research of Elementary school Chinese literacy teaching in the perspective of Philology has an important significance for promoting the scientificity of primary school Chinese teaching and the lifelong development of students. The thesis examined Primary school Chinese literacy teaching in the perspective of Philology,pointing out its shortcomings and analyzing the reason, then seeking solutions.In the light of above point of view, this thesis will be elaborated in 4 parts:The first part of this paper is the generality of Philology. First of all, definite the conception of characters and Philology,point out that Philology is a discipline which takes the Chinese character as the object of study. Besides, introduce the main content of Philology, including that the study of Chinese characters’ ideographic nature, etymology, Chinese characters formation and the study of form and meaning.The second part is to show the idea of different qualities sharing same structure between Literacy teaching and Philology. This part illustrate that Philology is an important evidence for teacher’s Literacy teaching. On the one side, Philology is suitable for primary school features of psychological development; On the other side, Philology is suitable for the method and order of Literacy teaching.The third part is the problem and analysis of Literacy teaching from the perspective of Philology. Examining Elementary school Chinese characters teaching in the perspective of Philology, pointed out that the deficiency and dislocation of Philology in when teaching Literacy, and analyzing its reason. The teacher lack necessary knowledge of Philology, lack the consciousness of using knowledge of Philology to teach literacy,and the misuse of it through teaching practice is a reason.The forth part is the strategy for optimizing Primary school Chinese literacy teaching in the perspective of Philology. In view of the problem of Primary school Chinese literacy teaching, put forward relevant measures in the perspective of Philology., Improve teachers’ literacy of Philology, enhance teachers’ consciousness of using knowledge of Philology to teach literacy and increase theability of teaching literacy use Philology.
