A Study On The History Of The Examination Of The Subject Examination In Taiwan

Since entering into the new century, various countries in the world have regarded basic educational curriculum reform as an important strategic guideline to strengthen education and international competitiveness. Taiwan’s college entrance examination system has gone through over sixty years development history and accumulated rich experience and academic materials. In particular, current multiple entrance exam system structure is perfect, which generates profound influence on Taiwan’s education. There into, designated subject test(hereinafter referred as “designated test”) is a cohesive exam to enter into Taiwan’s institutions of higher education, which amounts to college entrance examination in mainland. Its importance is self-evident.Taiwan’s designated test history has gone through revision and development, which increasingly appears with the characteristics of bright test feature, colorful materials, novel cut-in angles, natural and ingenious rhetoric questions, reasonable and exquisite answers, etc. The paper takes subject test questions of the latest six years’(2010 to 2015) designated subject test history as research object and analyzes designated test history with historical and pedagogical related theories. Researching these test papers contribute to widening notion and improving mainland’s college entrance examination system and propositions technology of history subject.The paper is constituted with introduction and main body. In introduction, it explains research aim and significance, research overview, the paper’s research contents, research methods and innovation. And it concludes works and academic papers of designated test history research in Taiwan district and mainland respectively now in research overview.The main body is divided into three parts. Part One introduces sixty years’ development situation of Taiwan universities’ entrance examination system and generalizes reform characteristics in each period. On this basis, it emphatically illustrates Taiwan’s current multiple entrance examination system and test profile of designated test to have an integral grasp towards historical test subjects.Part Two proceeds with question types of test paper, inspection contents and inspection objectives. It cites six years’ typical past exam papers of designated exam history and makes corresponding analysis on test questions. And it concludes that test papers have characteristics of content balance, comprehensive investigation, timeliness of focusing on hot spots and expression rationality.Part Three deeply analyzes designated test history’s proposition tendencies: placing particular emphasis on trunk basic knowledge, reinforcing investigation on historical concepts and improving the difficulty of non-selection questions. Finally, we must also keep a foothold of development of contemporary mainland’s history subject, use excellent test system reform experience in various places at home and abroad for reference, pay attention to training of historical thinking constantly and reinforce cultivation towards students’ historical comprehensive ability.
