Teaching material is the main resource of the implementation of the curriculum, and an important tool of the interaction between teachers and students. With the promotion of basic education reform, the teaching material that serves as the course carrier also makes corresponding reforms on the content and structure. In order to satisfy the educational need of different places, based on the standard of high school math course, the government makes different versions of textbooks, leading to the situation of one standard with various versions.Different characteristics and unique advantages of each version makes "comparison of each version" become a hot topic of current research.Among the five current popular versions, this paper choose the more frequently used A Version of people’s education press and Beijing Normal University press which is closely related to normal education to research. Since the plane analytic geometry, which opens a new chapter to study geometric problems through algebra, is one of the foundations of modern mathematics, and since it is also an important part of the high school mathematics learning, this paper tries to study “Plane Analytic Geometry”, comparing these two versions through documentation, comparison, and statistics. The contents of comparison contain the goals of the textbook, presentation, content and examples and exercises. The conclusions are as follows:Firstly, there are similarities in their emphasis on knowledge system, students self-learning,and the permeation of thoughts and Integration of mathematics curriculum and information technology. The differencely in the A Version of people’s education Press put more emphasis on the problem of the textbook, while Beijing Normal University press put more emphasis on the relationship between society and science and on the development of knowledge.Secondly, this paper tries to compare the two versions from the aspects of the set of the category and the columns, as well as the employment of chart. The two versions have their own characteristics and have formed their own unique column system.Thirdly, from the aspect of content, “Plane Analytic Geometry” takes a great part of the two versions, especially Beijing Normal University press. But their still exist some difference in the explanation of core concept and knowledge point.Last but not least, the two versions share many similarities in the types of excises. But when it comes to the number of the excises, the A Version of people’s education Press is bigger and when it comes to the difficulty of the analysis model, the A Version of people’s education Press is more difficult.The conclusion part gives many suggestions, hoping it can be useful when high school teachers give lesson on “Plane Analytic Geometry”.
