China is promoting the reform of high school mathematics curriculum.As the main carrier of classroom teaching content,teaching materials are not only the teaching tools to spread knowledge content and mathematical culture,but also the key media to cultivate students' core quality of mathematics subject.Therefore,the construction of teaching materials is an important part of curriculum reform.As an important unit of mathematics curriculum in senior high school,plane analytic geometry is an important knowledge content of algebraic solution of geometric problems,which can cultivate students' core literacy of various mathematics subjects.Therefore,this paper intends to take plane analytic geometry as an example to make a comparative study of textbooks in China,the United States and the United Kingdom,so as to provide reference and inspiration for the construction of analytic geometry textbooks in China.In this paper,the contents of plane analytic geometry in the textbooks of North Normal University of China,AP course textbook of the United States and Edexcel textbook of the United Kingdom are selected for comparative study.The first is to carry out the comparative study of plane analytic geometry in the textbooks of the three countries;the second is what are the similarities and differences of the three countries' textbooks on the compilation of this module;the third is that the textbooks of North Normal University of China can update this module from What can be used for reference in the above comparison results.In view of these problems,the author use literature method,comparative method,content analysis method and case analysis method to carry out a comparative study from three aspects of teaching material style,teaching material content and teaching material difficulty.First of all,by consulting and combing the relevant literature,this paper reviews the achievements of the former researchers in the comparative study of mathematics textbooks and the comparative study of plane analytic geometry,which provides ideas and inspiration for this study.Secondly,this paper compares the teaching materials of plane analytic geometry between China and the United States and the United Kingdom,respectively from the layout style and style column,and finds that:(1)Chinese teaching materials are compact in layout,with the most perfect title level and content number;American teaching materials are the most exquisite in binding and good at using color;British teaching materials are set with chapter theme color,with poor chapter title design.(2)The number of illustrations in Chinese textbooks is the largest,mainly including conceptual illustrations and example illustrations;the illustrations in American textbooks are the most beautiful,with various functions and a sense of science and technology;the illustrations in British textbooks are rich in color and comprehensive in annotation.(3)The overall structure of Chinese textbooks is the most concise,and the column of "exploration activities" has the most characteristics;the overall structure of American textbooks is the most complex,and there are many additional resources for textbooks;the overall structure of British textbooks is more complex,and the columns such as "formula list" have characteristics.(4)There is little difference in the number of columns of chapter structure in the three countries'textbooks,and each of them has its own distinctive columns.(5)Chinese textbooks have the richest section structure,American textbooks have the less rich section structure,British textbooks have the simplest section structure,and Chinese textbooks are more readable.Thirdly,the paper compares the contents of plane analytic geometry of Chinese textbooks,American textbooks and British textbooks,and finds that:(1)the title of Chinese textbook chapters is clear and specific,the structure of chapter content is systematic,but the content is not as comprehensive as that of American textbook,and the content depth is not as deep as that of British textbook.(2)Chinese textbooks pay attention to basic knowledge,the relationship between knowledge;American textbooks pay attention to the application and summary of knowledge;British textbooks pay attention to the use of learned knowledge.(3)The knowledge content of Chinese textbooks is the most systematic and perfect.Then,the author compare the difficulty of Chinese textbooks,American textbooks and British textbooks in plane analytic geometry,and find that:(1)Chinese textbooks are the least difficult,followed by British textbooks,and American textbooks are the most difficult.(2)The cognitive difficulty of exercises in English textbooks is the least,followed Chinese textbooks and American textbooks are the most difficult.At last,some suggestions are put forward for the compilation of the textbook of plane analytic geometry of North Normal University of China:(1)in the foreword of each textbook,a brief description of the contents of the textbook itself is added to facilitate the readers to get more information of the textbook and achieve the best use effect.(2)Enrich the types of illustrations and the text color of teaching materials,especially improve the illustrations of "information technology application" to enhance the reading experience.(3)Increase the connection with information technology and expand the auxiliary resources of teaching materials.Strengthen the deep integration of information technology and mathematics textbooks,so that information technology can serve the readers.(4)Add the relevant contents and columns of mathematical history and mathematical culture,enhance the infiltration of mathematical culture,and cultivate and improve the students' mathematical cultural literacy.(5)Set "chapter goal" on the beginning page of chapter,clarify chapter learning goal,and add "chapter head application questions" to stimulate students'desire for knowledge.(6)Enrich the types of exercises and add the real questions column of college entrance examination.Some examples consider using information technology to provide more intuitive"graphic solution" and "numerical solution".(7)The linear module adds the concept of "increment",the circle module adds the concept of inner point and outer point of circle,and the hyperbolic module adds the concept of "rectangular hyperbola".(8)Replace the head chart of Chapter 3 "Conic Curve and equation" in Mathematics(elective course 2-1)as a more rigorous and intuitive specific conic curve image,and add the content of quadratic equation and curve in this chapter.
