In this study, the Chinese and Japanese high school mathematics textbooks are selected. They are People’s Education Press and Japanese Institute Press. This research mainly focuses on three issues to discuss the content of ’Plane Analytic Geometry", they are first:the selection and arrangement. Second:the presentation. Third:the difficulty of the example and exercises. And we have the following conclusion:On the selection and arrangement of content, there are not many differences in two versions textbooks. But in the non-teaching unit, the contents of "CTB" textbook are more than "JTB" textbook."The information technology with mathematics" is not added to the contents of "JTB" textbook. On the presentation of plane analytic geometry, first, about the presentation on the concept, the concept in two textbook is roughly the same. The way to introduce the concept in "JTB" textbook is mainly by "given directly", while "CTB" is based on" the principle introduced by the mathematical concepts or principles". Second, about the presentation of principles, the principles in "JTB" textbook are much more than "CTB." And the way to introduce the principles in "JTB" textbook are "given directly" and "introduced by the questions", while the "CTB" is based on "introduced by the questions". Third,"CTB" textbook is comparatively better on the unit structure than "JTB" textbook. On the difficulty of the example and exercises, the examples and exercises in "CTB" textbook are more difficult than those in "JTB" textbook.Based on the research, we propose some opinions and suggestions following:add more content to plane analytic geometry, increase the selectivity of textbook’s content; changing the traditional teaching mode, optimized textbook’s readability; optimizing the structure of the exercises, increasing some exploration problems.
