Since the new curriculum reform,our country has revised the new curriculum standard.Teaching material is the carrier of teaching,which affects students' learning and teachers' teaching.In order to optimize teaching materials,it is important to carry out the comparison of different versions of teaching materials.Plane analytic geometry is the core content of senior high school mathematics textbook,so it is more urgent to compare it.Based on the Chinese and American high school mathematics curriculum standards,this paper makes a comparative analysis of the plane analytic geometry part of PEP A and Glencoe,in order to solve the following problems:1.The differences between Chinese and American Mathematics Curriculum Standards on the requirements of plane analytic geometry;2.The differences between Chinese and American high school mathematics textbooks in the compilation background,knowledge points,learning examples and material selection of plane analytic geometry;3.Whether there are obvious differences in the presentation of knowledge points of plane analytic geometry between Chinese and American high school mathematics textbooks;In view of the above problems,literature analysis,comparative research,text analysis and other methods are used.this paper first collects the current situation of the research on plane analytic geometry in recent years,and then makes a comparative analysis of the curriculum standards and the overall compilation and presentation of teaching materials in China and the United States.Through the research,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)From the perspective of curriculum standards,American content embodies more professionalism,pays attention to the application,requires the integrity and systematization of knowledge,also pays attention to the use of modern information technology,and focuses on solving problems.(2)From the overall compilation of textbooks,PEP Textbooks contain more knowledge points than Glencoe textbooks;the number of exercises in Glencoe textbooks is more than PEP Textbooks,the types of exercises are relatively diverse,the setting of exercises in PEP Textbooks is relatively single,the systematic and complete exercises are better;the selection of materials in Glencoe textbooks is more diversified,and close to real life.(3)From the perspective of the presentation mode of the textbook,the chapter introduction of PEP version focuses on the front and back connection also knowledge systematization,while the textbook of Glencoe version focuses on inspiration and goal;the concept introductions of PEP version are mostly introduced by review,while the textbook of Glencoe version are imported by questions;the technology presentation frequency of Glencoe version is higher,while PEP version is more formal.Based on the above research,some suggestions are put forward for the compilation of teaching materials in our country: in the compilation of example questions,we should stress the analysis of thinking process and use various materials;we should stress the corresponding goal of exercise setting,and have the training of high-level thinking development;in the teaching materials,we should present the goal with teaching operability;in the teaching,we should focus on problem exploration,and enhance the modeling awareness of students.
