The purpose of this paper is to study the realistic effect of the application of participatory teaching to the high school music appreciation course. And according to the real teaching situation, to discuss and analyze the feasibility and effectiveness of the participatory teaching strategy in music appreciation class in high schools, then further to provide certain valuable reference for the high school music appreciation class.The study can be divided into four partsFirst,collect and study on the relevant theories of participatory teaching. Second, grope for the presenting form of participatory teaching strategy when applying to the high school music appreciation course of. Third, to explore the feasibility and timeliness of participatory teaching strategies used in music appreciation class.This research mainly use action research, and collect data by collecting and organizing literature, the actual teaching observation of music appreciation course, interview, basic music knowledge test and other methods. And analyze, describe, and compare these data, study results are presented by qualitative way. Conclusions are drawn as follows:The application of Participatory Teaching Method in music appreciation teaching can promote students’ cooperative learning and interactive relationship,which greatly breaks through the passive teaching method and improves students’ learning efficiency and learning ability. Therefore, The application of Participatory Teaching Method in music appreciation teaching has certain feasibility.The application of Participatory Teaching Method in music appreciation teaching can increase students’ learning interest and improve their positive learning attitudes effectively and enhance their recognition of teaching, and elevate their appreciation capacity in aesthetics.Only music teachers correctly understand and grasp the essence of Participatory Teaching Method can they correctly use it to realize the three-dimension goal of music appreciation teaching.
