As an important part of higher education in China, higher vocational undergraduate education plays an important role in implementing the strategy of rejuvenating the nation through science and human resources. As the core of higher vocational undergraduate education, course construction is the important carrier for the goal of education and the key on improving the teaching quality. At present, the disadvantages of the center course pattern of traditional vocational pedagogy is increasingly highlighted. It no longer meets the needs of the development of the current vocational education, and so it is with higher vocational undergraduate tourism management. Curriculum construction, therefore, has to jump out of the barriers of the traditional subject curriculum system to establish scientific and reasonable tourism courses in higher vocational, and Curriculum construction based on the work process-oriented is in accordance with the requirements.First, this study reviews the present situation of domestic and foreign scholars on the work process-oriented curriculum study and puts the domestic and foreign research into the comparative analysis, and then defines the concept, expounds the working process-oriented connotation, theoretical basis, course characteristics, course construction and the necessity and principles of course construction. On the basis of the talents training goal of higher vocational undergraduate raising demands for curriculum construction, the author uses the example of tourism management major in the Vocational education institute of Yunnan normal university to survey the teachers and students taking the form of questionnaire and interview, and makes a survey to a part of tourism enterprises’ managers and front-line staff in Kunming, Yunnan province simultaneously, then, through sorting out and analyzing the data collected to find out the problems of the course, finally, highlights the course construction strategy of higher vocational undergraduate tourism management professional on working process-oriented according to problems existed. Curriculum construction tactics proposed in this paper are as follows: First, on the course system, based on work process to build the course system of vocational undergraduate tourism management professional. Second, on the course target, based on the talents demand of tourism enterprises and combined with talents training plan of higher vocational undergraduate tourism education to locate the course objectives. Third, on the course content, taking actual work tasks as lead to establish the learning field curriculum and design the teaching situation. Fourth, on curriculum implementation, guided by the action-oriented, interaction between teachers and students, and organizing curriculum implementation effectively in accordance with the complete action process of "information, planning, decision-making, implementation, inspection and evaluation", also paying attention to the cultivation of the students’ ability to analyze and solve problems. Fifth, on the curriculum evaluation, taking the diversity curriculum evaluation system, increasing the evaluation subjects, developing evaluation ways, changing the past situation—overemphasizing summative evaluation, increasing the proportion of developmental evaluation, reinforcing the understanding of the dynamic change of students learning process and reflecting students’ professional ability factually. In addition, the author also puts forward the corresponding security measures to ensure curriculum construction based on working process oriented going on smoothly. The construction of higher vocational undergraduate tourism management professional course based on working process oriented is conducive to break the bondage of traditional curriculum course system, strengthen the connection between the course and the enterprise practice, improve the quality of teaching and narrow the gap between the tourism talent training in higher vocational college and tourism enterprises’ demand.The innovation of this article lies in: it applies working process oriented theory to specific course construction areas of higher vocational undergraduate tourism management professional and strives for higher vocational undergraduate tourism management professional course construction in Yunnan province and even the whole country providing some inspiration.
