Tiaohua is a traditional festival for miao of Guizhou, with a long history. Which contains the rich cultural connotation. It not only reflected the nation’s historical memory, but also born the national traditional culture. It also an important component part of traditional culture of Miao nationality. The article selects the moon station of Kelao Cathole, Puding county, Anshun city as the study object and has carried on a thorough investigation for it. We severed it as the entry point and compared the today’s Tiaohua festival with the traditional. From the music dancing clothing dating methods and other functions, we could analyze what has happened in the change as well as the cause of the change.In the first part, we summarized why we selected the topic and the significance of this article, which was about the research status and method.The first chapter introduced the moon station and the general situation of Tiaohua festival, including the general description of the moon station as well as the Tiaohua festival.In the second chapter analyzed the culture of Tiaohua festival for the moon station. First, it introduced the tree, the setting of farms and the process of Tiaohua. Second, from the miao nationality dance, clothing, dating etc, we can analyzed the Tiaohua festival with the combination of the miao culture.In the third chapter analyzed the functions of the Tiaohua festival. There are four parts, mainly from historical memory function, marriage, entertainment, communication and propaganda functions, which systematically expounded the cultural connotation behind the TIaohua festival.Chapter four is about the change of Tiaohua. From the tree, the structure of staff, language, program performance, we could analyze the change of Tiaohua culture. From the aspect of dating, we could also analyze what has happened in the change.The fifth chapter analyzed the reason of the festival cultural change. From the aspects of economy, politics and the culture, we discussed the reason of the Tiaohua festival cultural change.With the development of modern society and the process of science. Waishumiao influenced by a lot of foreign culture. As a result, the traditional culture was also gradually impacted on by different factors. The moon Tiaohua festival is an entertainment feast combined with the modern elements, from it and its cultural change, we could learn more about Waishumiao daily life, customs and habits, which are also affected.
