There are three reasons that the author chooses this issue as the study topic of the thesis for master degree, first is the inevitable requirement of the new curriculum reform, second is the demand of diversified talent cultivation, and the third also the most important is the present poor teaching situation of high school Chinese elective course.This study based on the actual situation of the Chinese elective course teaching in Yuxi Z High School is to understand the reality of the Chinese elective course teaching by means of questionnaires and interview tools.It mainly focuses on two issues: The first is who the author want to theoretically discuss the ideal condition of Chinese elective course teaching with the guidance of Babanski’s Teaching Optimization Theory, the Effective Teaching Theory and the characteristics of Chinese elective course teaching. The second is what the present teaching situation of Chinese elective course in Yuxi Z High School? What kind of problems exist?The study found that: the teaching of Chinese elective course in Yuxi Z High School achieved some success:The first is who the teachers of this school use the form of the collective classes,promoting themselves development;The second is the students’ basic knowledge and basic skills improved.While simultaneously, the teaching of Chinese elective course also exists many problems in the teaching goal setting, the choice and organization of teaching content, the choice of teaching methods, teaching evaluation,carrying out Chinese elective course required teaching condition,etc.In view of all the problems, according to the characteristics of Chinese elective course teaching, Babanski’s Teaching Optimization Theory, the Effective Teaching Theory,this study puts forward the Chinese elective course teaching optimization recommendations: namely, setting the Chinese elective course teaching goal reasonably;selecting and organizing the Chinese elective course teaching content carefully;selecting the Chinese elective course teaching methods properly; improving the elective course teaching evaluation;creating the good Chinese elective course teaching condition.The author hope that this can improve the current situation of Chinese elective courses teaching and obtain the greatest possible teaching effects.
