Biography is a form of documentary literature that records the life and deeds of the characters,and the reading of biographies has always been valued by people fro mall over the world.Reading biographies can improve students' reading and writing ability and enrich their life experience.However,the combination of biography reading and the study of Chinese language lessons,the opening of a separate biography course is a new attempt after the reform of the new curriculum.In recent years,most of the materials selected in the reading of "practical texts" are biographies,and the scores are gradually increasing.Therefore,according to the current teaching status of high school biographical elective courses,the author makes a preliminary study on the selection of Chinese and foreign biographies.In this study,the author took a high school in Ningxian county,Gansu province as the research object,and used the method of questionnaire survey and interview to investigate and analyze the teaching status of selective courses of senior high school biography.According to the carding of the survey and analysis,the author found in biographical elective course teaching in teachers' lack of understanding,teachers' teaching methods for teaching target single still is given priority to with the traditional teaching method,teachers related theoretical accomplishment lack;Students have little interest in the study of biographical works,students are inclined to take exams in this course,and students are weak in the ability to read biographies.The teaching material organization method is not reasonable,the teaching evaluation means is unitary,the curriculum opening time is not reasonable.In view of the above situation and problems,this study puts forward clear teaching objectives and appropriate teaching content.Choose appropriate teaching methods and pay attention to the instruction of reading methods.Paying attention to the diversification and flexibility of evaluation instruments;Suggestions on improving teachers' professional quality.The author hopes that this thesis can arouse the attention of front-line teachers on the elective courses of senior high school biography,and provide references for the effective teaching of elective courses of senior high school Chinese biography.
