With the rapid development of economic, science and technology, the reform of basic education has been developing continuously, teachers received a severe test, the core of educational research also falls on the improvement of the quality of teachers.There are many ways to improve the quality of teachers, the most important of which is teacher training, and the effectiveness of training is currently in the field of education research important topic. The training effectiveness and training needs of teachers is closely related. Therefore, research on Teachers’ training needs not only has theoretical significance, but also has important practical value.The author adopts a series of research approaches based on the modern training system theories, lifelong education theories and teacher professional development theories such as documenting,questionnaire and so on. In the process of analyzing,we first discuss the related theory of teachers’ training through the analysis of documents; after statistical analysis, it is found that the Yunnan Province elementary school teachers have higher achievement motivation, high demand for professional development, but there are a series of problems they cannot solve by themselves existing in their jobs, such as the lack of modern educational theories leading,teaching methods are simple, narrow range and irrational structure of knowledge, etc.Thus, the study showed strong training motivation of them, there is an urgent need for teacher training to improve their professional development. At the same time, they have a variety of needs for the training, the needs of different teachers also is not the same.Through the research, there are several issues worthy of our thinking: the teachers focus too much on the subjective demand, an regard it as the demand for training, but teachers do not accurately grasp their subjective demand.Therefore, this study proposes strategies to improve elementary school teacher training effectively based on the investigation and analysis: to strengthen the awareness of the importance of teacher training needs analysis within Yunnan region, to promote teacher training needs analysis rational and orderly, and establish and improve the supervision and evaluation system of the teacher training and accountability mechanism, finally also put forwards some suggestions for teachers.
