As the strategic slogan of “Develop the country through science and education” has been put forward, the government takes the popularization of science and culture education and improving national quality as an important link in achieving sustainable development of economy in our country. The key to develop scientific education career and to build an innovative country is teachers’ scientific literacy.This study divides the kindergarten teachers’ scientific literacy to three dimensions as scientific philosophy, scientific knowledge and scientific ability on the basis of analyzing the relative concepts of scientific literacy. This study also worked out the Preschool Teachers’ Scientific Literacy Survey Questionnaire. Taking the scientific literacy status quo of preschool teachers in Wuhua district Kunming city, research indicated that most preschool teachers in Wuhua district Kunming city paid attention to scientific literacy, but there existing deviations in understanding the connotation of scientific education; attached great importance to the exploratory teaching, but the method should improving; paid attention to their own professional development, but lack of funds and technical support etc problems. The principal causes of these problems: the government funding is insufficient, lack of the guarantee of supervision mechanism, lack of training idea of pre-service and post-service, haven’t built a good environment for teachers improving their scientific literacy etc reasons.Against the problems above, this study based on the education truth of prechool education in Wuhua district: Firstly, put forward to strengthen the government responsibility, so as to provide a powerful guarantee for the improvement of prechool teachers’ scientific literacy; Secondly, integrated social resources, to build a good environment suitable for the improvement of preschool teachers’ scientific literacy; Thirdly, exerted the principal spirit of kindergarten to build a “keep learning” kindergarten and based on operation, dynamically promoting the operability of the improvement of their scientific literacy.
