| In the fact of the requirements for the intellectuals in the twenty 梖irst century, an era of learning, and the crisis of present teaching methods, it is essential to present the problem of teaching the students how to learn, which is of significant importance. To really solve the problem mentioned above, we must make a reform in teaching methods. Five-step Teaching Method came into being in years of the practice and experiment of my teaching reform. The method was once recommended and extended by the ZhengZhou government in 1992. It has changed the traditional teaching methods, which value the teaching action and inculcate knowledge but neglect learning methods and the development of abilities. The method includes and organic practical procedure of Testing, Questions, Reading, Discussion and Exercises. The method has corrected the relationship between teaching and learning. It established the idea that teaching should some learning. The method derives, from the theory of teaching, learning and psychology. It emphasizes the guidance of learning, and penetrates the teaching process with the guidance of method, way, questioning and thinking. In order to cultivate the abilities of acquiring knowledge independently. It adheres to the principle of subjectivity and development. It can create harmonious and multi-contacting teaching condition. The relationship between teachers and students is democratic, equal and cooperative. Students under the situation are interested and active in learning. the exchangement of information between teaching and learning is .3. C adequate and swift. Also the feedback of information is in time. So students can get the experience of success timely. They can correct their faults at once so that they can learn more efficiently. The method derives from teaching practice. It is also dependent on theories. In order to better teaching, the paper introduce it systematically. It includes six parts.
