Compared with public primary school and the students in it, private primary school students and their environment are quite peculiar, which is demonstrated by the home and schooling environment, living and learning situation, parent-child relationships, peer contact and so on.In this study, the psychological state, living and learning environment of private primary school students are investigated through questionaire and interviews. Manifestation of the students' psychological state and the environmental influence on them provides scientific ground for the environmental betterment, students' psychological quality improvement and vitality & competitiveness enhancing of private primary school.Five aspects investigated in the questionaire are the students' psychological state including the learning ability, mental health, peer contact, as well as the environment of them including the parent-child relationships, schooling and learning environment. There are 18 factors in these aspects.The result shows that: 1) private primary school students achieved significantly higher scores than public primary school students on the aspects of peer contact, parent-child relationships and schooling environment; 2) they achieve significantly higher scores on the factors of schooling environment, students' judgement of their teachers, companionship and mutual understanding, learning environment and inter personal sociability but lower scores on factors of fear-feeling tendency and indulgence than public primary school students. 3) private primary school students from un-integrated families achieved significantly higher scores on the aspects of learning adaptability, mental health and peer contact. There are no significantly different scores on the aspects of parent-child relationships and schoolingenvironment between them and public primary school students from un-integrated families.Based on the interviews, comes analysis to the conclusion: Some environmental factors exert positive influence on the students in private primary schools, which mainly consist in: 1) collective living environment; 2) more peer contact; 3) better teacher-student relationships. At the same time, some negative factors influencing them are exited: 1) there is higher indulgent tendency by parents of students in private primary school; 2) the schooling environment is relatively self-closed; 3) private primary school students are often under the unstable living environment and staying with patents less time.There are some suggestions: 1) improving students' learning ability and their schooling performance; 2) keeping them mentally healthy; 3) making the best of the advantages of private primary school to make students well-developed overall; 4)bettering the students' living and learning environment.
