Maj or: Discipline Teaching PhysicsSpecialty:Middle School Physics TeachingTutor:Prof. Liao BoqinAuthor:Wei Qing (J98082)Based on the predecessor s research, this experiment, combined with the characteristics of the physics subject, puts the inquiry-based instruction into the physics experiment instruction, and makes students themselves consult the reference books and design the experiment blue prints; during the course of experiments initiatively explore and form concepts, find laws, and master knowledge so as to mobilize the learning enthusiasm of the students, develop their intelligence comprehensively, and cultivate their exploring spirits.In this experiment, the author chooses three experiment classes, altogether 90 students, carrying out teaching by the means of inquiry-based experiment instruction; dividing the three classes according to marks and sex, make comparison with the class (including 30 students) adopting the conventional teaching method2in the aspects of physics marks, the self-evaluation of the comprehensive experiment ability, teacher抯 evaluation, the comparison of the enthusiasm for the experiments, and the twoto-two comparison between the four classes.The results turn out to be: ㏕he inquiry-based experiment instruction method can improve the physics marks noticeably;?The grouping according to marks has no remarkable influence on students?physics marks, comprehensive experiment ability and the enthusiasm for the physics experiments; but the grouping according to sex has noticeable effect on them; ?The inquiry-based experiment instruction method can enhance the enthusiasm for learning physics; ?The inquiry-based experiment instruction method can remarkably promote the students?comprehensive ability for doing physics experiment (the evaluation of teachers and students);甌he inquiry-based experiment instruction method can affect male students more.
