Academic Research Of The Yangtze River Basin College

Chinese traditional academic culture, with its long history, has great achievement on the basis of its rich culture background. This thesis offers a survey of the academic culture of Yangtze River valley, which plays a great important role in the history of Chinese culture. The paper begins by noting the way in which the emergence of academic schools, formation of the academic tradition, dissemination of their thoughts all seem to have a closely relation with the academies, which is a special academic educational center as well as an important basis for academic studies. It also shows how educational thoughts, systems, practices, has closely relation with the academic studies, and how does the academic studies of Yangtze River Valley actively put forward the speeding of the academic style of other academic regions around the center. By investigating these important functions, this thesis focuses on the prominent functions of these academies and their special features. It then illustrates the mutual relation between the academic tradition of those academies around Yangtze River Valley and the regional culture, which aims at providing a wider range for the studies of its culture and the relevant academic studies.
