Technology is rich in the 21 century and in order to be adaptable to the rapid changes of the society, many countries around the world are striving on some educational reforms.In 1998, Taiwan announced the latest , which led the biggest educational reform in Taiwan during the early 21" century. In September 2000, was announced, which replaces the curriculum standard of the former primary and junior education, and it is a legal basis in developing curriculum for primary one to form 3, what together makes 9 years of education. The curriculum consists of the Chinese and English language studies, the Chinese language consists of Mandarin, Men Nam Language, Ha Ka Language and the native language. This chapter explores the curriculum of the Mandarin part, and we will just focus on discussing about the junior high schools, thus we call it .A curriculum plan is the map of school education, and it illustrates the content of each curriculum. We could see clearly the theories of the subject. The success or the failure of a curriculum lies on the theories and practice. At the moment, we investigate the curriculum of the Chinese language studies in Taiwan's junior high schools, and surely will give some advice to the reforms of the Chinese language curriculum in junior forms in Macau.This dissertation analyzes the content and the way of presentation, to discuss about, first, the background, aims and characteristics of the curriculum reform of Chinese language studies in Taiwan's junior high schools, then it compares the with . It is concluded that the new curriculum is better than the former one. First, the materials presented are more organized, it pays attention to the knowledge taught within each year, concentrates on students' ability to learn by themselves, to use a wide variety of evaluation methods, etc. These characteristics are similar to theories of constructivism, cognitivism and behaviorism, especially, most of the theories in is based on the idea of constructivism. Besides, the design of the package and the presentation of the teaching methods are systematically organized, and this is a result of referring to the view of the system theory. The theories presented in are of a wide range, it can take care of the student orientations, curriculum orientations, society orientations and subject orientations, especially, mainly based on the orientations of students' curriculum, and then with society orientations andsubject orientations to help.Since we only know whether the curriculum theory is successful or not when it is put into practice, so the author based on a research , to see the effectiveness of , and with the theories that influence the practice of curriculum, to investigate the result of practicing . The authors find that there is positive effectiveness but at the same time, some negative factors that affect the run of the curriculum. And now, I am combining the theories of practicing the curriculum, and to discuss what the negative factors are.
