The information technology revolution nowadays symbolized by multi-media and Internet, is surprisingly changing the way of people to live and study, which surely will lead to the compound changes in the education field. There are great potential economic effects in the Internet education, therefore leading the global IT enterprises and prestigious universities to successively set foot in the field and take more market shares.I, having engaged in the education and management for a long period of years, am familiar with the development course of modern remote education in our country. From the year of 1991 on, I have worked in the Bureau of Professional Technology Education of the State Education Ministry(the former State Education Commission). When working for the Committee of modern remote professional education resource construction, I specialized in the assessment of construction of the Website -- China Professional and Adult Education. Now I worked as the project manager in the Internet Education Dept. of Tsinghua Tongfang Corporation, responsible for the following projects: the remote education cooperation of Lanzhou University and Harbin Technology University, the Internet School sponsored by the affiliated Middle School of Tsinghua University, and Tsinghua University s Electronic authentication of diploma.The theme, trying to using the theories of Education, projects management, marketing, Statistics and theory of E-Commerce, puts forth the business mode of Tsinghua Ttongfang Corporation in the field of Internet education: Taking advantage of the resources of Tsinghua University, with the application of Internet and multi-media technology, and by taking the remote professional diploma education as the starting point, to gradually establish the industry system of the remote education service, which can meet the demand of China's market. Before the finish of the theme, I have referred to a large amount of corporate archives and market statistics reports and first- or second- hand business materials, and using the theories as the guide of the practices, successfully proved my ability to work. The project of Lanzhou University, which also constitutes the original aim for me to work on the theme, has taken 7 months before the completion of the first phase work from September , 2001 when it was approved by the authority concerned as the key project. The active exploration of Business Application Mode of the project provided the precious experience for the development of Internet education industry of Tsinghua Tongfang Corporation.The theme begins with recalling the background of Internet education Origination, then by compared with the traditional education, analyses the advantages of the Internet education; It, by introducing the case study of the market demand of domestic and overseas Internet education development and market research reports, predicts the futures of China's Internet education development, and through which, a deep feeling is taken that to develop China's remote Internet education, the operation of business capital must be realized. The theme, based on the general introduction of the development of Tsinghua Tongfang Internet education industry, through the factual case study of Lanzhou University Project, tells how to push the operation mode of China's remote Internet education development by making use of marketing channels of business training. At the end of the theme, the suggestions about the business operation of Internet education are provided, expecting to provide some help to the development of Internet education.
