There were more and more private schools established in China. Currently, multinomial investigations have indicated that most of the students in private schools were from entrepreneurs, businessmen or dissociation families. They were commonly disregarded by their parents. Most of their attainments when entrancing school were lower than that of the students in public schools. And in rudimentary investigations, the mental health levels of the private school students were lower than that of the public school students.The purpose of this study to improve the mental health levels of the private school students and promote teaching quality of private schools, we must make out the status of their mental health, approach the peculiarly of their status of their mental health and the shape reasons, and practice the mental educate experiment to hold out feasible suggests for the private schools.Investigations, interviews and mental intervenient were used in this research.In order to make out the mental health level of the students in private schools, 4 scales were involved. From macroscopic angle approach the features of their mental health issue. Scales include MHT, SES, FAD, EPQ(ChiId version).459 students of a private school and 407 of a general school in shi jiazhuang were investigated.The results indicated that the students of private schools were lower than those of public schools in the level of mental health and self-esteem, the students of the second grade lower than those of the first grade in the level of mental health, and boys lower than girls in the level of self-esteem. The status of mental health was positive correlation with self-esteem. Family function has an effect on mental health.Open interviews method was used, from micro-thought angle make of themental health features and formative causations of the students in private schools. The purposes of concrete research were:1. Make out status of mental health of the students in private schools.2. Analyze the factors that affect on the mental health level of the students in private schools.3. Hold out the strategy improving the mental health level, provide references for the contents programs of the school mental health education.Data were analyzed with the contextualization and categoryization.The results indicated that the problems in mental health of private school students were adaptive. It was immediate cause for the student' s error reaction to life events. The important factors to bring on the problems in mental health were the puerility of thinking, the short of life experience, the marks of bygone life, the simplicity, asthenia of education.Finally, based on the results of investigations and interviews, approach whether we were able to improve the mental health level by mental experiment, if we let them change their live issues.459 students of one private school in shijiazhuang were accepted the education experiment. MHT and SES were used before and post experiment.The results indicated that the level in mental health of private school students can be improved. Enhancing the reactive ability to living problems can gear up their level in mental health.
