The rationality and evaluation for the installment of the physical education (PE) subject during the college entrance examination (CEE) will straightly affect the selection and admission of PE students. Taking PE teachers in college and middle schools in Zhejiang, students of PE department, PE CEE participants and those grades in 1997, 1999, 2000, and 2001 as studying objects, this research has comprehensively studied the item installment and evaluation method of PE subjects during the CEE as well as the method of enrollment based on kinesiology, pedagogy, socialology, physiology, statistics, and psychology. At the same time, the paper has offered a set of possible and suitable models of PE subjects' examination for PE majors in Zhejiang province. Main conclusions are listed below:i ) According to the investigation , although most people investigated approve of the current installment of the subject items, they consider it unreasonable to cancel the specialized examination.ii) The general and four diathesis level of the PE CEE participants in 1997, 1999 , 2000, and 2001 has increased to different degrees, especially in 1999, the year when the subject items of PE CEE has been changed, which indicates that the position of school PE and the level of PE teaching and training in middle school have been constantly raised.iii) The standards of grading for the subject items excluding track-and-field subject are influenced by man-made factors, therefore, grading for the exam is beyond control.iv) The standard of grading for 100 meters for boy students is on the high side, as a result, the grade is on the low side. However, those of the standing long jump for both boy and girl students are on the low side, and the grades are on the high side.v) The four diathesis' grade of PE CEE participants in Zhejiang has followed the distribution of normal school , which reflected the basic rule of their body diathesis development.vi) The paper has set up two groups of regression equation with obvious results, which can be taken as the math model to predict the f\developing tendency of participants' body diathesis. The coefficient of regression has shown the existence of different proportions due to the grade of every subject. Reasons for these are: 1) Influence by the difficulty of the standards of grading; 2) Students in different areas have different body diathesis.vii) According to the training aim, teaching plan, and the different demands for each subject, the following factors should be taken into consideration when setting up the testing item. 1) the aim of PE teaching 2) the comprehensive demand for body developing 3) the relative independence of each item 4) the coherence of subjects structure 5) the objectivity of testing methods.viii) Suggestion I : Adding a testing item for special diathesis. (Investigation showed 85.3% of people approved of it.)Suggestion II: Body diathesis + modality +enginery testing (Investigation showed 81.3% of people approved of it, and we consider it a suggestion to be studied and practiced.)Suggestion III: Body diathesis + enginery + psychology testing (Investigation showed 80.0% pf people approved of it.)IX) Standard percentage and progressive counting can be used as methods of evaluation, thus the grading standard of different subjects and diathesis items tend to become coherent, balanced and reasonable. On the other hand, it also shows that the grade differs much with the increased degrees of difficulty.
