Since 1980's, the information technology based on Internet has made tremendous development, which has caused a shock to the society not only because it resulted in the revolutionary change of the tools by which people obtain and exchange information, but also caused the reconsideration among people of some fundamental questions on epistemology such as what information is and what knowledge is, and has further changed people's way of learning and behavior.The integration between information technology and Chinese curriculum to design and develop the process of teaching and learning is one of the heated topics in the educational research field in recent years. The thesis, titled as Design and Practice of the Web-based Chinese Inquiry Learning, will lay the emphasis on the analysis of its theory support and characteristics, the study of its patterns and methods, and then put forward some suggestions on the solutions to the urgent problems.The thesis can be divided into three parts. In the first part, the author will review the developing process of "the integration between information technology and Chinese curriculum", and explain how to conduct the web-based Chinese learning. Based on the first part, the author will next analyze the web-based Chinese inquiry learning theoretically and make it clear what its theory support is, and then outline its intension and extension. In the third part, combined with a lot of cases, the author will analyze how to design the questions, task arrangement and assessment in the web-based Chinese inquiry learning and how to put the designations into practice. At last, the author will end the thesis by approaching what are necessary teaching behaviors and capability structure for Chinese language teachers under the web-based environment.
