Scientific method education is an important aspect of scientific literacy education, which closely relates to scientific knowledge, scientific ability, scientific thought and scientific quality. This thesis deals with the questions about theories and practice of the scientific method education in chemistry education in high school by way of changing teaching style to improve the teaching effect on the scientific method education.The theories discussion: It is drawn out that the scientific method education is just placed in start stage by analyzing the present problems of the scientific method education in chemistry education of high school in China, and that the scheming design of chemistry teaching on curriculum level( including the target system , the content of curriculum, the style of practice and the method of evaluation etc.) will enhance the lasting and systemic teaching effect on the scientific method education . Some ideas about the scientific method education in chemistry education of high school are discussed in this thesis including the construction, function, characteristics, definition, influential factor and the style of practice. The author puts forward ideas that the teaching style is one of the most factor to influence the teaching effect on the scientific method education , and that the inquiring style of chemistry teaching is beneficial to the scientific method education obviously. Based on these ideas, the author discusses the teaching principles and the method of evaluation for the scientific method education in chemistry teaching.Experiment research: In order to confirm the validity of the inquiring style in chemistry teaching based on the target system to the scientific method education, the author uses the method of Quasi-experimental research with the priori-posteriori-measuremeht control group design, and experiences the following course: priori-measuring, constructing thetarget system, research practice and posteriori-measuring . The research indicates: (1)the significant variability of chemistry studies level isshown between the experimental class and the control class . (2)The direct effect on the scientific method education is very remarkably different, that is the experimental class surpasses the control class. (3)The emotionand manner of studying develops in the positive direction, and the scientific spirit and attitude have positive change.Research conclusion: (1)Construction of the target system isbeneficial to the systemic education of scientific method, and in the course of constructing the target system , it is necessary to integrate among chemistry knowledge, chemistry instructing method and the scientificmethod. (2)The inquiring style of chemistry teaching based on the target system exceeds the direct or lecture forms in effect on scientific method education obviously. (3)It is feasible and valid to make sure the "stagecenter" of the scientific method education. (4)In the process ofconstructing the target and carrying out the scientific method education , it is necessary and feasible to practise again and again , and to proceedto target step by step. (5)The diversification of evaluation method is necessary, feasible and valid , which includes questionnaire method, behaving method, test-question method, product method and so on.Finally, some regulations are discussed about the scientific method education in chemistry teaching in high school, and some suggestions are given to the compiling of chemistry teaching material and the related literacy of chemistry teacher to be improved , on the other hand, some individual viewpoints about research in this field in the future are also presented .
