Personality is the integration of a person's total unique and stable psychological features of temperament, character, virtue, love, sentiment, faith, will, attitude, viewpoint, etc. At present, the status of the students' personalities is worrying, which is greatly related to the fact that pedagogues neglect the character education for the students. The Chinese language has predominance in character education, which other subjects can hardly reach. Its humanistic feature requires us to carry out character education, and the modernization of Chinese teaching demands character education, and the improvement of the ability of the Chinese language demands character education; so teachers of Chinese should pursue character education. Character education, therefore, should become an important part of the Chinese language teaching in schools. The Chinese language teaching in schools ought to be based on the students' future development, and we are to cultivate the students' essential qualities of their character and stable psychology foundation for ideology, politics, moral character in the Chinese language teaching, and thus, help students form a healthy personality. This article, based on the above acquaintance, has dissertated the significance, analyzed the reasons for the lack and loss and brought forward the principles, methods and strategy for abstract execution of character education in the Chinese language teaching.
