With the further development of quality education and continuous education, teacher education, which aims at promoting the specialization of primary and high school teachers, is becoming an important research project in the field of education. During the process of teacher education, the key to promote the development of the specialization of primary and high school teachers is to improve the teachers' principal position in their further education and stimulate the teachers" motivation and creativity in continuous education.In the era when we emphasize the spirit of subjectivity of the recipient of education and the students subjective position is being paid more attention, it is especially important and urgent to emphasize the subjective development of the teachers. Without the spirit of subjectivity, a teacher will not only lose the vigour of development and drive to create, but also directly hinder the students to develop in a healthy way.Why should we lay emphasis on teachers' subjective development in their continuous education? What is the present situation of primary and high school teachers' subjective development in our country? What are the problems? What are the causes of these problems? How can it be improved? These are the main things that this project deals with. The first and the second sections mainly analyze the present situation and explain it in theory while the third and the fourth sections mainly explain it in practice and illustrate the result of action research.The first section first, from the viewpoint of educational philosophy, gives the definitions of subject, subjectivity and teachers' subjective development and analyzes the present situation and its causes of the primary and high school teachers' subjective development in the continuous education with special emphasis on the importance and urgency of the teachers' subjective development.The second section not only states the necessity of the primary and high school teachers' subjective development from the viewpoint of continuous education, democracy of education, the development of teachers' specialization and subjectivity education, but also emphasizes the possibility of primary and high school teachers' subjective development from the viewpoint of teachers' ability of self-education, modern informational technology and the system of continuous education.The third section paves the way for the action research. It first analyses two of the prominent psychological features of teachers: the sense of efficacy and monitoring ability in teaching, which provide sufficient psychological evidences for practice. Then it mainly introduces three approaches, which can help to further the subjective development of primary and high school teachers: subject research study, self-directed study and reflection of teaching practice.The fourth section, which is the principal and most difficult part of this thesis, analyses and explains the strategies which can effectively promote teachers' subjective development by means of three levels of continuous education practice, which are organization and management, ways and models, and assessment and stimulation, attached with examples. Training plan, practice design, network administration system build a foundation for teachers' continuous education to meet the requirement of subjective development. School-based training, curriculum development, non-curriculum study and education via Internet are ways of teachers' subjective development. Plan and development assessment can effectively stimulate teachers' subjective development.
