China's Wto Accession College Education Model

Talent training model is a significant guarantee to realize the aim of education. After China entered into World Trade Organization (WTO), fierce international competition has been making still greater demands on the quality and structure of talents. Thus, a new talent training model must be established in colleges and universities so that those talents who will be cultivated according to this model can meet the needs of social development since China's entry into WTO. The new model is not only indispensable to the existence and development of colleges and universities but also imperative to enhance comprehensive national power and raise international competitive advantages.This paper, from the angle of management, on the basis of systematic analysis, and according to the principle of orientating towards students and suiting the instruction to the student's level, presents a talent training model since China's entry into WTO.Based on the analysis of demands for talents since our country's entry into WTO, the paper puts forward an idea that high quality talents must be cultivated in a new light in order to meet the needs of social development. At the same time , aimed at the existing problems in talents resources, especially in such aspects as quality structure and ability structure etc., the paper analyzes the existing problems in talent training. Then, by analyzing the connotation of talent training, a new notion of talent training model is put forward. Namely, the aim of talent training should keep up with the changing situation, the training system should suit measures to different colleges and universities, and the training process should orientate towards students.On the basis of the facts mentioned above, colleges and universities should putemphasis on the cultivation of three types of talents——research-type talents,pioneering-type talents and application-type talents. At the same time, different characteristics of each type are also expounded.As a distinctive theory of reform on talent training concerning China's higher education, the paper will be used as reference in the reform of talent training model to some extent.
