| The topic of this paper is "the study on current educated unemployment in china : a case study of job-hunting trouble for college graduates in China". The aim of this paper is to seek the roots of job-hunting trouble for graduates in China and give explanation for this situation by analyzing the main factors which affect the employment of college graduates. This research is of great practical significance for the serious situation of college graduates' employment.Guided by the Marxist theory, the following basic hypotheses which are carefully selected from the theories of modernization are firstly established. They are as follows: Modernization is an integrated process of economical and social development, in which economy, society, political, culture etc. are involved. To keep the durative of modernization, all the aspects involved in it must be in harmony. If any of them are out of step with others, the process of modernization will be disturbed, even hindered. But the fact of world modernization process has shown that social crises, social reform, revolution or disorder always take place in the this process, the essence of which lies in that the different powers from the society cooperate and compete with each other at the same time in order to choose the way of modernization for the sake of their own benefit. In the course of gambling, different powers unconsciously form two groups: the group that adapt themselves to modernization and promote it and the one that are against modernization for the sake of their own benefit. The gambling between the two groups, which causes the changes of the whole social order and makes the changing order show the characteristic of harmony or disharmony, are increasingly becoming the system causes of various social problems and social contradictions. Educated unemployment is one of the social problems that set in the modernization process and the changing social order. Therefore, educated unemployment has something with the changes of social order in our country. Then, with the guidance of the above theoretical hypotheses, the following analyses on current educated unemployment are made on the base of the academic achievements having been made and the materials that the author can possibly obtain.I.The origin, the current situation and the types of educated unemployment are briefly introduced. Through analyzing the materials about the college graduates'employment since the reform and opening-up in China, the origin of educated unemployment which stood against the background of the reform of college graduates' employment system. Furthermore, the current situation is described and the types are defined.Ⅱ.On the ground of the previous part, the effects, esp. the negative effects of educated unemployment are pointed. They are : the educated unemployment and its more and more serious situation have made social mobility become stagnant and intensified the social unfairness and increasingly become the underlying social crises. Moreover , they have had a series of bad influences on the initiative of students, the public investment on education and the development of higher education .Ⅲ.Summary and explanation are given to the factors leading to educated unemployment. Besides the factors relevant to development such as the slowing-down economic development and the enlarged enrollment of college students, more important factors are from system itself. These factors bring about current educated unemployment. In this part, more attention is paid to the segregation of labor force employment market and the limitation of employment scale which are the causes from traditional planned system. Generally speaking, all the factors above-mentioned are the external ones that result in educated unemployment.Ⅳ.The defects of present unit system of higher education existing in the course of cultivating college students are analyzed in detail.
