High School Chemistry Learning Difficulties Students Effective Learning Strategies Research

Our education is changing from the traditional mode just teaching students how to pass the examination to a new mode whose purpose is to increase our whole nation's diathesis. In such new education mode, School is not a place to bring up several students marked A., but a place to improve all students' basic diathesis.But influenced by the factors of psychology, education, environment .studying strategy and so on, all students are difficult to keep balance on studying. Some students must be good at acquiring knowledge while some students must face failure. Resolving the students' studying problem is important to modern education, because it will not only affect the target of our compulsory education, cumber to improve our nation's diathesis, but waste education resources and distort the education developing if it is not resolved. And as the result, to improve our nation's diathesis by education is just a slogan. In this thesis, we base on the modern education theories and choose the practice of chemistry teaching in senior high school to discuss the students' studying problem. We mainly focuses on the studying strategy while do the research. And We explore the valid methods and approaches in the practice of chemistry teaching for the purpose to help students to form the appropriate studying strategy and resolve their studying problem. By analyzing the data of chemistry teaching experiments, we propose the corresponding teaching countermeasures to help students to form studying strategy and enhance their capacity of using the strategy and self-control. As the result, the student's problem of studying chemistry or other subjects is resolved. Our work can be concluded as following: Present the domestic and foreign education theories about studying strategy. And introduce the domestic and foreign researching situation of the problem that some students are difficult to acquire knowledge. We also bring forward some definition. In this thesis, Studying Strategy is defined as the capability of students' cognizing the studying tasks, applying the studying methods and controlling the studying process in the studying scenario. Our opinion is that this capability can be improved by intentionallyteaching the knowledge of meta-cognizance and studying methods, and by setting the question scenario to train the students' studying strategy. Only in the practice of interactive teaching of a concrete subject like chemistry, the students' capability of studying strategy can be formed and built up step by step.Up to now, there are large numbers of domestic and foreign researches on students who are difficult to study. So this thesis might not cover very much, it is limited to a range. We only discuss the normal students who fail to study in a concrete subject like chemistry and we only discuss the studying strategy factors which cause them fail. In the practice of chemistry teaching in senior high school, we investigate the students who are difficult to study on studying strategy, and analyze which factors cause them fail to study.The investigative paper and some questions for senior high school students who fail to study are designed to investigate their studying situations. I chose some students whose are behind in my class and collected the investigative data on their studying strategy to analyze which factors of basic studying strategy , external studying strategy and self-control strategy to lead their failure. In the practice of chemistry teaching in senior high school, we propose a series of teaching countermeasures to resolve the studying strategy problem of the students who are difficult to study.In this thesis, a series of teaching countermeasures on basic studying strategy , external studying strategy and self-control strategy are proposed.
