With the development of quality education, a movement of renewing education idea, innovating teaching content and teaching way is in the process. How to use the modern education theory to direct the real teaching is also worth every math teacher thinking about. And constructivism is the most proper one for this among all the theories. In this theory, maths teaching is not only imitating and copying but also a meaningful and energetic constructing activity, which will just be grasped by participating the teaching activities positively. For these reasons, the responsibility of teachers is not to impart knowledge simply but to be the promoter to guide the students. Constructivism includes to find out the students real activity of thought and the foundation if cognition and to arouse the enthusiasm of the students. Then, why is constructivism so important to train the maths ability of the students? How to teach math with constructivism? What kind of roles are the teachers going to be under this theory? How about the exact teaching pattern and operating procedure? To make clear these problems is necessary to our teaching. This article tries to use the existing research results and the teaching experience to study the math teaching pattern and operating procedure in the middle school under constructivism.
