The article investigates and analyzes the present status of higher vocational education by three methods of investigation, interviewing, questionnaire and reference. On this basis, by the experience about the courses reform of vocational education at home and abroad for reference and under the direction of modern educational theory, it establishes a platform of higher vocational physics course system that reflects higher vocational characteristics of running a school. That is the course structure system of "wide basis, narrow module and new special subject". It raises the course plan of multiple levels to set up basic physics, special physics and special subject physics.The article discusses the relevant theories of higher vocational physics textbooks on the platform of higher vocational physics course system. It raises the purpose, basis, principles and methods of constructing higher vocational physics textbooks. And it establishes macrostructure designing model of physical educational purpose, branch of learning, students, specialized subjects and society that connect together. It makes physics textbooks tend to be reasonable and reflects higher vocational characteristics. This is in line with the students' development, the need of specializations and the need of society.The article takes the content choosing to higher vocational physics textbooks as a whole. It raises the system chart of the content choosing of the textbooks. It discusses the integrity and connection of the contents between e higher vocational physics and specialized courses emphatically. It raises the method of choosing the content of specialized physics textbook and makes a primary test. It reorganizes the teaching contents taking "Physics Electromagnetism" and "Statics" as examples. At the same time, it discusses the choosing of course contents about higher vocational special physics primarily. On this basis, it states the requirement of higher vocational physics textbooks in teaching. Finally, it gives the lists of the first volume of higher vocational physics textbooks: "Mechanics" and "Electromagnetic Movement".
