| The qualities of the chemistry teachers in the junior middle school are total psychological qualities, which are bodied in educating and teaching, determine the result of teaching, have direct and remarkable influence on student's body and mind development. Not only the necessities of knowledge's economic development, but also the need of the reform of chemical course in compulsory education needs chemistry teachers in junior middle school to improve their qualities.We analyzed five respects of chemistry teachers' qualities in this article, such as qualities of professional ethics, teaching idea, knowledge structure, ability structure and their body and mind. On the basis of this, consulting relevant documents and some curriculum experts' opinion, we made a questionnaire about the qualities of the junior middle school chemistry teachers in the course reform. We investigated the qualities of professional ethics, teaching idea, knowledge structure and ability structure of chemistry teachers. Combining several records of chemistry teachers' teaching, we analyzed the investigation result and got the recent qualities of chemistry teachers in junior middle school:1. There is some crisis in the chemistry teachers' professional ethics and the professional ethics still needs to be strengthened.2. There is certain difference between the request of course reform and the renewal of professional ethics.3. The knowledge structure is imbalance and the most outstanding characteristic is "narrow" , " old" .4. According to the request of new course reform, the teaching ability seems insufficient.In order to meet the need of learning society, basing on the educational thought all lifetime, the educational organizations in our country should think over the educational and training resources, combine the separated state of chemistry teacher's education, link up the education and training course and make them become a relative independence but unified succession. We proposed suggestion of how toimprove the teachers' quality:1. Deepen higher educational reform of teachers' institution, so that we can lay solid foundation for improving teacher's qualities. In order to realize this opinion, we should do these things: First, strengthen qualities of professional ethics and make chemical educational students establish the professional ethics for national development; Second, Upgrade the talent view and make chemical educational students have creative consciousness and ability; Third, reform the course system and make chemical educational students form the basic knowledge structure; Fourth, Strengthen practical program and make chemical educational students and grasp basic technical ability.2. Construct a teachers' continuing educational system and provide safeguard for improving chemistry teacher's qualities of junior middle school. In order to realize this opinion, we should do these things: First, pay close attention to the consciousness and ability of study all lifetime and construct the long-term self-education system; Second, play the role of educational scientific research and construct three-dimensional teacher's education system of helping each other; Third, utilize the resources of the high institutes and construct high quality teacher's training system.We studied the quality of the chemistry teacher of junior middle school in 21st century in this article. Our purpose is to establish a perfect scientific structure so that the chemistry equality can be improved. We hope the new chemistry equality could meet the needs of the development in era and the course reform and we hope our study can establish the foundation for raising chemistry teaching equality and training talent of high quality. |
