Track and Field Teaching in PE Colleges and Universities focus on teaching content. Track and field teachers as the main track and field teaching groups, not only is the main force of the Sports College Athletics curriculum reform and development, but also to ensure that the key to the quality of the sports institutions Track and Field Teaching. This article through literature study, questionnaire survey, expert interviews and mathematical statistics analysis of the professional quality of teachers structural characteristics of the different dimensions of track and field. The main results are as follows:Firstly, eight the sports institutions Athletics professional teachers, male and female teachers in the ratio of2:1;Teachers of the age structure is irrational:middle-aged teacher ratio is relatively large proportion of young teachers;There is a certain gap between the overall educational structure and requirements of the school’s teaching and research;The teachers exhibit structural imbalance titles:a higher proportion of associate professor and professor; Overall learning margin structure is a single;In terms of seniority structure, the referee level professional sports experience better overall.Secondly, teacher Quality Structure of the second Chinese sports constitutes equally applicable to the professional teachers of Sports Track and Field。It constitutes the basis of quality, the quality of the professional development, career development quality. In this paper, our PE teacher quality structure on the basis of the original increase in the quality of the professional development training capacity and referees.Thirdly, the basis of the quality of aspects that the eight sports institutions Athletics professional teachers have good physical and mental qualities. Physical fitness aspects:The specialist group of teachers in the area of energy health was significantly better in the PhD group of teachers and "20-30" age group teachers in athletic ability was significantly better than the "50-60" age group of teachers; Psychological qualities:the self-confidence of male teachers is significantly better than female teachers.Fourthly, professional quality, experience in teaching of track and field knowledge, theoretical knowledge, teaching organization ability, teach students in accordance with their aptitude, writing ability, the ability to project power and the scientific research tool operation in elderly teachers are significantly better than the young teachers; Male teachers in the training theory knowledge is better than female teachers; PhD group of teachers’scientific research ability is obviously better than the specialist group of teachers; the specialist group of teachers in the capacity penalty justice and the ability of dealing with emergent events and grasp the track and field competition rule and judge the method is obviously good teacher in Dr. group.Fifthly, the quality of professional development aspects:The eight sports Track and Field professional ethics of teachers are very good quality, and evaluation in three dimensions there is no significant difference;The quality of the educational philosophy:"51-60" age group of teachers in the quality of education and the use of "health first" teaching thinking ability was significantly better in the "21-30" age group teachers.Sixthly track and field teachers in basic cultural knowledge, scientific selection, read athletics foreign materials and the use of modern teaching media capacity is relatively weak.
