No matter in the past, or nowadays, conflicts do exist between science and ethics.Especially with the progress of biotechnology, contradiction between them is more and morestriking, traditional theories of moral education, educational contents and educational wayscannot meet the social demand for talents any more. Based on the requests of new curriculum reform and the development of life ethics,taking a way of elective course as a carrier, this thesis gives a systematic statement to theexploration of contents, modes, ways and approaches of life ethics education concerning highschool biology teaching. This thesis focuses on studying the possibility, teaching contents,feasible ways and approaches and the exiting questions of offering life ethics education as anelective course. Moreover, it aims at improving students' ability of deep thinking about life,helping them build up correct philosophy of life, deal with the relation among human, natureand society correctly and resolve the moral conflicts faced in the process of growing up.Ultimately, life ethics education will improve students' character fundamentally and realizestudents' sustainable development.
